Philippines: After 20 years

Philippines, what have you become? what have we achieved after 20 years?

As I was checking my social media accounts this morning, I came across to this video pertaining to Ferdinand Marcos' speech about the past controversial "Bataan Nuclear Power Plant". Since there were several people that posted the said video I was curios enough to click & watch it. After watching it, I remembered all the things my grandmother has been telling us about the life of the Filipinos and the economy of the Philippines way back in Marcos' time. Life was "peaceful" and the economy was at its highest is how my grandmother described their life when Ferdinand Marcos was the president. She explained how the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant will be a BIG help to our country if the project pushed through, and how goods were affordable by everyone. Not long after, Ninoy Aquino, an activist to Marcos' martial law caught the people's heart and mind by pointing out all the negative works of Marcos, and believe it or not, we are dumb enough to let this commotion get through the best of everyone of us and voted to oust Marcos. The freedom of what everyone wanted was "granted" but are we really free? Look around, open your eyes. People became greedy. Criminal rates abruptly rose. Killing became rampant. Drug dealing is everywhere. The poor became the majority. Electricity and water that SHOULD be run by the government is now under an oligarch. Being celebrity is a requirement to a be politician. Wake up Filipinos.

Back from hiatus. Summer has finally come to me! Done summer school means more free time? No, more on like work time. I sometimes hate how work is getting on my summer plans but at the end of the day ypu still feel it's worth it $$$ Anyhow, I'll start posting a couple photos from the trips I did few weeks ago. Hey gals! Im sorry for not being updated for the past days, I've been stressing out for school since I am at the edge of finishing highschool! Yay & Nay. I am happy that I can finally move on with my life but sad that I will miss every memories I've had with all the 3 schools I went to throughout my high school life. Anyways, I can't promise to be posting everyday but I will TRY :) haha Oh I just realized that I  only have 20 days till my graduation *sob&clap Well congrats to moi!

Avengers

One word. AWESOME! Good picture, great actors and cool effects all jampacked in one movie. I must say it was a star studded 5-star film. I enjoyed it and didn't even mind the long 2 hours to sit in. I definitely love the Hulk in there I honestly think that he is the most powerful yet, well in terms of physical. I can't wait for the next Avengers but it will be for sure te best when spider man joins in and the others. Good job marvel! Had fun.

Day off

I'm so restless these days. Everything just seem so intense and I can't even get a time off for myself. Finally I will have my day off work starting tomorrow until thursday. Yay for that one! But I can't really relax since I have school on the other hand and I am thinking to go on a driving school before summer break, therefore I need to work extra hard and extra hours means no day off anymore :'( sighh I am really looking forward for summer & I'll make sure my everyday is worth it. By the way, it's my mom's bday on the 10th and mother's day on the 13th so do you have any suggestions of what to do/gift? I'm in need of help! Pls! and thanks :) Goodnight

omygolly... I had an experience I wouldn't just forget. So here how it goes, I had my work up to closing today since my dad is still in the Phils. my aunt dropped me off to work. I was supposed to take the bus home as planned but since I am really restless today I called and begged my mom to pick me up, knowing that she doesn't have a professional license yet. Then she picked me up, went home & changed our car to fill the other one because we are going to church really early tomorrow. When exiting the gas station my mom saw a police car and got all nervous and what not because she is scared that she might get caught the she only have a learners license which isn't allowed if there's no class 5 license holder with us. I really don't know what have gotten into my mom's mind that she changed lane to go to a different way for us to avoid te police but end up being right beside them. Oh mom. haha Next thing I know is a red & blue led light flashing into our car and pulling us over. Guess what happens next?? We got pulled over because my mom forgot to turn on the tail lights. face palm! and the license was just the secon reason. The happy part is the police officers drove us home because no one would take us home and take note they aren't allowed to do that but they saved us from paying a tow truck. They also didn't suspend my mom and instead just fined her which is great to she can just go on a driving school. Isn't that nice? I've always thought that policemen are rude and heartless but I guess I'm wrong they're just really protecting us and teaching us how to be a responsible citizens. Thanks Sir! Thank you God specially that nothing bad happened to us but just this and I know this happened for a reason. Lesson for the day: DO NOT BREAK THE LAW.

I opted to wear loafers today because I need to look semi-formal for my work and I paired it with floral tights to have some retro vibe since it's retro day at my school today. End.

I think random

If you have been following/reading my blog you can actually say that I am very random due to the post and transitions that I wrote. The main purpose of this blog is to tell almost everything that happened in my life and my thoughts also so as it said this is going to be a random blog full of different stories about very different events. I just haven't blogged about foods but am thinking of it in the future. All I just want to say to my readers is I think random.

'FAIL'

Today was supposed to be my cardio appointment and as it says in my title, it was a huge fail! I misunderstood the information when they called and thought that my appoitment is on 10:15 am then it turns out that it is at 10:50 am. fricking fob hahaha Lesson learned always, always call for a confirmation on appointment. LOL So they rebooked me for friday and the sad part is I'm going to miss social class again. boohoo! I really don't like skipping school because I hate the part that you were going to be left behind from all the lesson and specially for graduating students like me. Well anyway, I just pray that everything will come out fine because I don't want to get sick again. It is too hard I swear! And for the people that is still struggling with sickness all I can say is, just hold on with God and he will not let you fall. I know how it felt like to be very sick and to feel that it's your end and you can't do about it, but you're wrong if you're thinking that way because through prayer and faith everythin can be change! I have a big story tomorrow. God bless you!

"Happy birthday Daddy!"

Happy birthday dad! although I'm pretty sure you wont be able to see this but mehh. haha! So today is my dad's departure time going to the 'Pearl of the East' the Philippines, it is also his birthday today which adds up to our kinda sad emotion but happy for him to see my grandparents again, sigh wish I came :( Woke up early for a saturday to have a birthday brunch with him at the airport. Everyone came also to wish him a bon voyage, then after we went to costco for grocery and the sun was out bright shinning! mygoodness! that was odd for Calgary's weather! ahahaha After that we just went home to clean the house since we were so busy for the past few weeks. Soo tired after but worth it to see our house super clean <3 and so I rewarded myself a little pamper time thus explains my picture below - A bubble bath! 😍 Okay folks, I now need to catch up with my books. Toodles!

I'm scared...

I am scared to graduate, I am scared to move on with my life, scared to enter university, scared to face life independently and without guidance of teachers but myself. I am going to miss everything in highschool, every lunch chats with friends, the skip trip to McDonalds, the teachers that bugs us fow our own sake, all the laughs, the pranks, tears, and hardworks. I suddenly feel melancholy, it seems like yesterday I just started jr. high then I am graduating in senior high in a month. I guess I am not ready yet to leave a huge chapter of my life. I remember my mom once said, "High school life is the best" and it really is! Time really flies so fast so you better make everything worth of it. I hope going to university wouldn't change my childish side where I just don't care about how I act like in HS, instead help grow and mature more. I am looking forward for the best.

"Boredom"

I am sooo bored! If you have been following my blog I told a little story about ny schedule problems in my previous post. So I am now taking Religion at SDS (selfdirectedstudies) and I'm hella bored here :( I am currently working on my fist workbook . This is like the longest class I ever had because no one is here except to the students that are writing exam. Anyways, my day started off pretty good then ate lunch at Pho with my friends during my spare soo yea, that's about it for now! Toodles!

"Spring"

No school for me today! yahoo! I didn't really do much because spent my whole afternoon looking for phones at ebay and a repair shop. I'm still deciding on what to do, should i just buy a new one or have it repaired? hmm? The thing is I really love my hTC sensation and I don't want any other phones but if I get a new it would be too costly for me. I emailed last night a repair shop to ask how much would be the cost and their price would be half the price of a new phone excluding the other fees. So I am very confused at the moment -.- sigh Anyways, after my mom's work we went to have dinner at Pho thai (my fav viet resaurant) then went to go grocery shopping and came home. I felt like my day was productive even tho didn't accomplish anything yet. hahaha And to end my night, I am starting to read my cathing fire book . yess peeta! That's all folks!

FACT: I'm a big Josh Hutcherson fan since 10 years old :P
